Snake 'n' Rooter

Snake 'n' Rooter, one of the largest residential plumbing service companies in the State of Colorado, engaged JD Ford & Company to represent it in a transaction and to seek alternative buyers. The 15 year old, privately-held company had been approached by a private consolidator who had plans to go public, after acquiring Snake 'n' Rooter, as part of the core group of plumbing companies in Colorado. JD Ford identified two established public consolidators in the industry and arranged an auction between the private company and the public companies. Ultimately, the Snake 'n' Rooter shareholders selected one of the public companies, consummated the transaction in a stock for stock, pooling of interest transaction. In fact, the ultimate sale price was approximately 35% greater than the private company consolidator's original offer. JD Ford & Company completed this transaction within 90 days of accepting the engagement.
