Pumps, Inc.
JD Ford & Company represented the shareholder in the sale of one the industry's most highly respected and successful fluid pump wholesalers. After gaining a solid understanding of Pump's operations and preparing a detailed offering memorandum, JD Ford successfully identified a wide range of potential strategic and financial buyers, creating a competitive interview process. After an initial strategic buyer was unable to arrange adequate financing, we advised Pump's on its acquisition of a competitor's branch operation and positioned the Company in such a manner to emphasize its geographic and market share control. We then contacted and negotiated a definitive agreement with the strategic buyer that resulted in a premium purchase price for our client and allowed him to achieve all of his transaction objectives. Even during a dramatic downturn in overall M&A activity, this entire transaction process was completed in less than 10 months.
