JD Ford & Company represented the shareholders of a leading plastic injection molding company in the sale of its assets to Trend Technologies Corporation, a tier one supplier to the high technology industry. In this engagement we identified strategic buyers that could take advantage of our client's industry-leading manufacturing processes and management approach. Our client sought a buyer that was a world-class manufacturer that would complement its company culture. In completing this transaction JD Ford & Company was able to meet the conflicting desires of the majority and minority shareholders, while obtaining a premium price for the Company. The transaction also involved a Section 1031 like-kind exchange of real estate that was completed within six months of the business sale.
