Perry Transfer

Perry Transfer was Colorado's largest local cartage and storage company specializing in the installation of GE appliances for both the new home and repurchase markets. Its sole shareholder engaged JD Ford & Company when he decided to retire. After the market's initial lukewarm reaction, JD Ford attracted the interest of a publicly-traded transportation company seeking growth through an acquisition in the Rocky Mountain Region. One week prior to closing, however, this purchaser walked away from the contract -- thus terminating the transaction. JD Ford reactivated the search process and ultimately orchestrated the sale of Perry Transfer to an international transportation company with multiple holdings in houseware distribution and installation delivery. This all-cash transaction greatly exceeded our client's expectations and (even with the initial false start) was completed within one year of our engagement.
