JC Keepsake Diamonds, Inc.

JD Ford & Company represented the shareholders of one of the leading privately-owned jewelry retailers in the western United States, in the sale of stock to Stateside Management Vehicle, a US holding company, a division of the largest diamond manufacturer in the world. JD Ford & Company was originally engaged to negotiate a transaction for the sale of a single division of the company. However, due to a change in our client's objectives we expanded the scope of our engagements to include the sale of the entire company. This business combination benefited JC Keepsake by creating direct access to a major diamond supplier. The combination benefited the buyer by providing access to a highly valuable retail brand name ("Keepsake") that it intends to use in building a national retail chain. This transaction will also enable the buyer to benefit from the corporate infrastructure and retail management expertise of JC Keepsake.
