JD Ford & Company represented the shareholders of the largest wholesale electrical distributor in southern Colorado with proprietary lines such as Allen-Bradley and General Electric. The company is a second-generation family-run business with revenues in excess of $50 million. The transaction was completed with an international purchaser seeking to expand its distribution platform in the United States. This transaction attracted buyers from multiple countries, as well as strategic and financial buyers involved in the bidding process. The transaction was structured to enable the sellers to receive a premium price for their company, pay off all remaining debt, retain ownership of real estate and exit the business within 60 days after closing.
